About Our Inclusions
WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL FEE?
This is standard for all our funeral services and is the cost for the scope of work we do and the arrangements we make on your behalf. In our case, it also includes the transfers of your loved one from their place of death and into our care. We DO NOT charge after-hours fees for transfers of your loved one into our care. We are available 24 hours a day.
This is to make things easier on you - as there is nothing worse than needing to be a mathematician at a time when your mind is numb and you are grieving.
WHAT COFFIN IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PACKAGE FOR FUNERAL SERVICES?
Our standard inclusion for cremation funeral services is a flat-lid coffin available in a choice of 3 high gloss colours. Of course, we have a large range of alternate coffins and caskets that we can supply upon request.
WHERE IS YOUR CHAPEL BASED?
For ease of pricing, we have included the use of a chapel packaged with our celebrant which is based at Maudsland, on the Gold Coast. The benefit of the use of this venue is that families are not rushed by a 45-minute time limit - which is standard for funeral services. This allows us also time to take care of all of the small details in setting up your loved ones' celebration and gives families time without feeling rushed.
The venue also boasts the largest screen for slideshows we have ever seen and is big enough to accommodate the largest services. Should you wish to stay for refreshments afterward, you can look forward to views of the Hinterland on our breezy balcony.
CAN I HAVE FUNERAL SERVICES AT ANY PLACE OF MY CHOOSING?
Certainly! You are never obligated to use a particular place for funeral services. Many families have alternate venues in mind, including churches, private properties, or even a home service. Location is important too .. we arrange services in all areas from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
WHAT ARE THE CASKET SPRAYS THAT YOU INCLUDE?
We have 3 different sprays to choose from that are included in our funeral services package.
These have been meticulously prepared using imported artificial flowers that are incredibly realistic. Offering these as an alternative to families has proved highly popular, as it helps to keep funerals more affordable.
Of course, we also offer a wide range of fresh flowers from our trusted florist, which can be quoted for any service.
WHAT ARE PLACING FLOWERS AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
At Solace Family Funerals, our motto is "the little things are the big things". One of the most moving moments at our funeral services is the opportunity for attendees to say goodbye with the placement of a single flower on the coffin. Flowers speak for us when words cannot, and giving people the opportunity to approach the coffin and lay a flower of their own accord, helps bring closure with their final goodbye. It is not only a powerful gesture but so very important to the grieving process. We feel that it is so important, that we include it in our services as a complimentary gesture.
