Arrangements are as simple as a phone call. That's it. We are available 24 hours a day to help you through this emotional time and answer any other questions you may have.
We will then give you a password to access our secure online arrangement form for you to complete.
By completing the online arrangement we are able to use the information to complete all the legal paperwork on your behalf.
If your loved one passes at home, hospice or a nursing home our response will be immediate. If they pass in a hospital with mortuary facilities or are under a coronial investigation we may need to wait until any necessary paperwork is completed. If you aren't in attendance we will let you know when your loved one is in our care.
We will complete all the necessary paperwork and obtain a doctors or coroners permission to proceed. We will let you know when the cremation has been scheduled so that you stay in touch with where your loved one is at all times.
The Death Certificate is lodged by us to the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages. This information is gathered from the details you provide on our arrangement form. You will need to allow approximately 3 weeks from the day of cremation for the Death Certificate to arrive. This will be sent directly to you from the Registry in the mail.
Once we have the ashes back in our office we will contact you to arrange a time to collect. It is usually a good idea if you are wanting an urn or keepsake jewellery to let us know prior to your attendance, so that we have your loved ones ashes in your chosen urn.
WHAT IS DIRECT CREMATION?
A direct cremation (also known as cremations only) is a private cremation without a formal funeral service beforehand.
Your loved one is brought into our care, prepared respectfully, and cremated. The ashes are then returned to you, allowing you to hold a memorial or celebration of life in your own time, in a way that feels right for your family.
For many families across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, direct cremation offers a more personal, flexible and affordable approach to saying goodbye.

Affordable &
Budget Friendly
Environmentally Conscious
Simplicity During a Difficult Time
This option is the most cost-effective funeral choice. By removing the need for expensive services such as viewings, funeral processions, and other traditional rites, families can save significantly on the overall cost of a funeral. It’s an ideal option for those looking for a more economical way to honor their loved one.
For many, it is also an environmentally friendly choice. With fewer resources used than in traditional funeral services and the use of a basic
eco-friendly coffin, direct cremation helps reduce the environmental footprint of a funeral while still allowing families to celebrate a loved one's life in a way they choose, without the pressure.
Losing a loved one is overwhelming, and making decisions can feel like a heavy burden. This option offers simplicity, removing the need to plan and arrange for a traditional ceremony. It allows families to grieve in their own way, without added stress, and provides the flexibility to hold a personal memorial when they are ready.
CARE YOU CAN TRUST
Choosing a direct cremation provider on the Gold Coast is not just about cost — it’s about trust. As a family-owned funeral home, we take the time to ensure every person in our care is treated with genuine compassion and dignity.
Your loved one will be looked after by our daughter Leia, who has over 8 years of experience caring for families’ loved ones. This level of personal care is something we are deeply proud of, and something that sets Solace apart.
What Happens After A Direct Cremation?
Once your loved ones ashes are returned, families can choose how they wish to remember and celebrate their loved one.
Hold a Memorial
Gather with family and friends to remember and honor the life of the deceased in a personal, meaningful way.
Scatter Ashes
Whether in a special location or a private ceremony, scattering ashes is a personal way to pay tribute.
Create Keepsakes
Many families choose to turn their loved one’s ashes into keepsakes, such as custom jewellery, to hold close.
This option offers the freedom to celebrate life on your terms, whenever and however you choose.
