Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens

Situated on the south side of Brisbane, this very large crematorium was established in 1934. Until 1970 it was the only crematorium serving the Brisbane area. The crematorium has two chapels; East Chapel seating 100 and the West Chapel seating 90.

The art deco West Chapel was constructed in 1934 and is heritage listed, with extensive restoration taking place. For those wanting a grand farewell for their loved one, this chapel certainly offers the total package.

The East Chapel is a more modern contrast and is airy and bright with modern lighting and a tranquil colour scheme, the chapel features a marble and timber podium and contemporary seating.
