With a strong belief that every person deserves a meaningful farewell, Joe brings a creative and thoughtful approach to every service. Drawing on his background in creativity and storytelling, he works closely with families to design personalised funeral services that truly reflect the life, personality, and legacy of their loved one. Joe is known for going above and beyond. Whether it’s incorporating personal touches, honouring hobbies and passions, or simply being there when families need guidance most — his commitment to care is unwavering.
Before entering the funeral industry, Joe proudly served Australia in the Australian Defence Force, reflecting a lifelong dedication to service, integrity, and supporting others in times of need.
Joe has been happily married to Bec for 28 years, and together they lead the business with high standards and a deeply personal approach. In his spare time, he enjoys adventuring, walking his dogs, spending time with family, and is an avid sci-fi collector.

Bec is the heartbeat of Solace Family Funerals — the calm and caring voice many families first connect with when they need support most.
As the person who manages the day-to-day operations of the business, Bec ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She is often the one answering your call, guiding you through the next steps, and providing reassurance during what can feel like an overwhelming time.
With a natural warmth and attention to detail, Bec helps families feel informed, supported, and at ease from the very beginning. She works closely alongside Joe, forming a trusted team that delivers consistent, high-quality care to every family.
Bec takes great pride in making sure every arrangement comes together seamlessly, allowing families to focus on what matters most — honouring their loved one.
Having shared 28 years of marriage with Joe, she brings both life experience and genuine compassion into her role. Outside of work, Bec enjoys photography, cooking for her family, and proudly embraces her role as a self-confessed “crazy cat lady.”

Leia plays a deeply important role at Solace Family Funerals, caring for your loved ones with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion.
With over 8 years of experience in mortuary care, Leia is responsible for preparing each person for their final farewell — a role that requires both skill and a deeply caring nature.
She approaches her work with incredible attention to detail, ensuring every individual is presented with the utmost care on the day of the service. Leia understands how important this moment is for families and takes great pride in helping their loved one look peaceful and cared for.
Working alongside Joe and Bec, she forms part of the close-knit family team that ensures every step of the process is handled with consistency and compassion. While her work is often behind the scenes, it is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do — providing families with comfort and peace of mind during a difficult time.
Outside of work, Leia enjoys 4WD adventures and spending time with her dogs, who she lovingly considers her children.
